FCCI's referring-provider page notes same day appointments and testing for urgent matters. If your doctor told you to be seen soon, say so when you call. If you have chest pain, pressure, sudden shortness of breath, fainting, or signs of a stroke like face drooping, arm weakness or trouble speaking, call 911 right away. Do not drive yourself and do not wait for an appointment.
When you call, have your insurance card handy and the name of the doctor who sent you, if anyone did. The front desk will ask a few simple questions to find the right provider and time for you.

Do not send personal health information, symptoms or medical history through any web form. You can talk about all of that safely with the team by phone or at your visit.
Keeping health details off web forms protects your privacy. The team will call or reach out to you and handle the rest by phone. Requests sent outside business hours are handled when the office reopens, so call if your need is time-sensitive.

If your doctor orders tests, read the prep sheet as soon as you get it. Some tests, like a renal artery ultrasound, require you to skip food, drinks, tobacco and caffeine for hours beforehand.
